Court houses upholding Papua New Guinean law & justice

Rhodes was engaged as the Contractor for new multi-million dollar temporary Court Facilities at Papua New Guinea’s Waigani National Courts Complex. The new facilities were designed from prefabricated light gauge steel – their durability and low maintenance qualities will serve the law and justice requirements of PNG well in to the future. There were two separate contracts, one for the site works and another for the design and construction of 6 temporary buildings including office spaces, court rooms and a secure cell block.

Rhodes was also engaged on an earlier project to provide PNG with a temporary courts facility. The contract was for the supply of building materials including the pre-fabricated steel frame which they manufactured in-country. Their on-site quality assurance and support for the installation contractor enabled the project to run smoothly, in turn enabling the country’s judicial system to keep operating.
