Primary School in the Southern Highlands

Lake Kutubu Primary School

Situated in the rugged, interior mountain ranges of the Southern Highlands, lies the completed Lake Kutubu Primary School facilities constructed by the Rhodes’ team in Papua New Guinea. Lake Kutubu is the second largest lake in PNG, and alongside Lake Sentani it forms the unique ecoregion on the World Wildlife Fund’s Global 200.

Conservation of this beautiful land and the lake’s crystal-clear waters is an important part of the livelihoods of those living alongside the shoreline. With the primary school complete, local students have the opportunity to learn surrounded by the ecological wonders of their own home.
