Mechanical workshop upskilling Papua New Guinea’s automotive students

With a 1680msq steel portal frame – procured offshore and assembled on-site, Papua New Guinea’s National Automotive Training Centre workshop space is serviced by seven acoustically separated classrooms, an ablution block and a store room.

Rhodes were commissioned by the Australian Government (DFAT) as the project’s Head Contractor – the contract value was PNGK4.3 million. The much needed and long awaited workshop facilitates competency based auto-electrical, diesel fitting and automotive mechanical training programs for Port Moresby Technical College.
